This Is my Story Poem

Bobby the Squirrel sat and he nibbled and ran away acting that he was gay.

Malcom the Hawk sat and he stalked Bobby the Squirrel.

The grave looking Bird was looking absurd while not being heard by fluffy little Bobby.

Bobby was running huffing and puffing parcoring like a pro saying to Melcom come on call it a day bro.

Bobby's running hard parcoring on the branch hoping to live and fight another day.

quail island history

quail island is an island shaped like the unique quail  (a quail is a bird)
 this is a quail 








quail island used to be a quarantining station for animals and mankind with disseizses (in 1842-1931) 






the first person known to step on quail island was captain william mein smith in 1842






on quail island people used to plant crops such as cabbages wheat and potatoes 

the trees used to be up to as much as 97% of the land and is now only 5% left 







they were thought to be extincted but have recently been spotted its the blue penguins
rabbits were also meant to be extinct but are now coming back

On the 8th of May 2014 the kauri team walked down to cross country.

When It was my tern to run my hart was pounding then the wistile blew I was off I was pacing myself were as the others weren't.

I CAME DOWN TO THE FINAL STRECH I WAS SPRINTING MY HART OUT i passed about 5 people yay

My Elephant Writing

I was walking through the village when it was raining,i slipped and landed on my bum.''Ouch I slipped'',I thought to myself.Then I started sliding down,Oh No. 

I ended up stuck in a ditch,cold and alone.Then a passenger of a passing train noticed that I was stuck and yelled,''STOP THE TRAIN''!!!

They all stopped and stared.The driver opened the doors and said'' lets go and help that elephant''.They all agreed to what the driver said.

They found some leaves and branches and feed them to me because I looked hungry.

They called the SPCA and they brought some ropes and pulled me out.

I wished they could have understood my thank you!!!

Living Springs Camp

This is me on the Bouldering wall. My feet and hands still really hurt, from all the climbing.

Archery was my favorite activity because I had an awesome new experience.

some fun games for inside lunch

If it is an inside lunch and your stuck on what to do here are some games to play uno, go fish chess monopoly. And there is a game that I made up called Scribbler. 

1. get 2-4 players 
2. get a pencil and however many people are playing one piece of paper each.
3. on your piece of paper draw a random scribble and then give it to someone different.
4. They have two minutes to make a drawing out of that scribble.
5. And there you go you have completed the game. 
6. do it as many times as you want.             nobody losses.     

Choir

Today is my first day of Choir ever. I think it is going to go well.

This year I am envolved in Kapa-haka, choir and I am thinking of getting in to a Winter sport  team

This year at school I have enjoyed pop-art& Harold they were both really fun

Harold

On Wendsday 12th of march room11 is going to see Harold. I think it is going to be fun

pop-art!!!

1. Room 11 found out that we were learning about pop-art. I was like what's pop art? (in my head).

2. Mrs Pattern told us about Andy Warhol (the famous painter), we also watched a video about Andy Warhol.

3. Then Mrs Pattern asked us to research some of Andy Warhol's art.

4. I went on my tablet and searched up pictures of his art.

5. I discovered that the most expensive piece of his art work was called "Silver Car Crash [Double Disaster]", 1932 which sold for $105.4 million (buyer: anonymous).

He used to get very sick when he was young so his mum gave him Campbell's soup every day for lunch. So then when he drew those bizarre  painting's of Campbell's soup.

6. We had to sit in a circle on the mat and on two post it's we had to write down two icons to our country (I chose the chocolate fish and the Akaroa Blue Cod).  

7.  Out of all the icon's that everybody put down I chose to do the Akaroa Blue Cod for my pop-art.

8.  I went on my tablet and looked up pictures of the Akaroa Blue Cod.

9.  After I found a good picture I had to scribble down a sketch

10. I had to draw a new one and then paint it complementary colours (they are colours that go well together), for instance our school uniform red and green.

11. Room 11 got passed some A3 paper, we had to divide our paper into four even square's.

12. First I painted the top left box it was the complimentary which I explained earlier then I painted the bottom left square,, it was black and white in the top right box I painted  analogous that means three of the same shade, for instance Light Blue, Blue, Dark Blue then I painted the bottom right box monochromatic colours, it means three colours next to each other on the colour wheel, for instance Purple Yellow Red.

13. I left my painting to dry then I came back after lunch and it was all dry so I traced over with vivid, then I was done.

      

       Over all I thought that art attack was really fun.             
 On the rubric I think I am multistructural  it means I use several relevant elements of art eg colour, techniques, line and shape..
