kapa haka

On Friday for Kapa Haka we learnt where we need to stand in our lines. It is important that we know where to stand so that when we perform we can move into position quickly. As part of Kapa Haka, today then we taught the year 5's the actions to the Haka.
We taught them step by step each of the actions they needed to know. I took a leadership role by teaching others what I had been taught and by giving them advice and help so they would understand.

choir

On Friday I had Choir. We have to be at choir by 8:45 am in the morning.
I arrived at School at 8:30 and went straight to Choir. It is important that we are ready to start at 8:45.
Today I went over the Maori version of Hallelujah. My job in this song is to harmonise.
I showed Leadership by not just being there on time but by arriving early. This is a good example for others.

This year I am enjoying choir.

Choir for 8th may

Last week in choir we learnt the maori version of hallelujah
I really love this song because it shows passion in my voice.
I always show leadership by being passionate and giving it my all setting a good example for the other students.

kapa haka

On Friday I had kapa haka.
We learnt a new part to a song and I almost know all the words off by heart. I am showing Leadership by being prepared and making sure I can help others because I know the words.

At the moment I am really enjoying kapa haka and want to get better and better.

kapahaka

14.5.15

On Friday May 8th at kapahaka we practiced our songs and actions.
Then all the boys went outside on the courts with Mr Brown to practice the haka.
Mr Brown told us the importance of body emotion.

(I slapped my legs so hard that I had purple marks on them)

I am showing Leadership by giving it my all and getting involved entirely.
